Gambit Bonnevoie landed on place 34 out of 84 participants in the European Club Cup 2023 in Durrës, Albania, 1 to 8 October 2023. The tournament has been won by Magnus Carlsen’s Offerspill Sjakklub. Among the players representing our club (IM Robert Baskin, GM Margeir Pétursson, IM Julian Geske, IM François Godart, FM Steve Dishman, FM Jan Bednarich, captain Óskar Bjarnason, WFM Bruna Geske), the best performance was recorded by François, who scored 6/7, while Steve managed to get a prestigious draw in his game against GM Gata Kamsky.
